Description

The Nepal II is a 75cm ceiling fan light with a white twist-propeller frame and integrated LED ring, controlled via remote. The four blades retract into the central housing when the fan is off, leaving a clean circular profile flush to the ceiling. When activated, the blades extend outward and rotate on a DC motor that runs quieter than traditional AC fan motors, drawing 64W across both lighting and fan function combined.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and open-plan spaces with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m, the Nepal II pairs cooling airflow with ambient lighting in a single fixture. The LED ring emits 4000 lumens through a diffused white surround, with colour temperature adjustable between 2700K warm white and 5000K cool white via the remote. Dimming is stepless, allowing fine control over brightness from full output down to a low nightlight level. The DC motor offers multiple speed settings, also controlled from the remote.

The 200mm overall height from ceiling to the underside of the fan housing means the Nepal II projects less than most traditional ceiling fans, making it suitable for standard UK residential ceiling heights. The white powder-coated metal finish on both the housing and blades hides fingerprints and reflects ambient room light, keeping the fixture visually recessive even in well-lit spaces. At 3.5kg the fan requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or reinforced mounting point, and the 100-240V universal input voltage accommodates international installation.

Frequently Asked

How does the retractable blade mechanism work?

The four blades fold into the central housing when the fan is switched off, creating a flush circular profile. When the fan is activated via remote, the blades extend outward and begin rotating. This allows the fixture to function as a ceiling light when cooling is not needed.

What ceiling height is required?

The Nepal II projects 200mm from the ceiling surface. In a room with a 2.4m ceiling height, the underside of the fan sits at 2.2m, which clears standard door heights and head clearance. Higher ceilings between 2.6m and 3m allow the fan to circulate air more effectively across larger floor areas.

Can the colour temperature and brightness be adjusted independently?

Yes. The remote control allows independent adjustment of colour temperature (2700K to 5000K), brightness (dimmable from full 4000lm output to low nightlight), and fan speed. Each function is controlled separately.

Is the DC motor quieter than a standard ceiling fan?

DC motors run quieter and more efficiently than traditional AC motors. The Nepal II is suitable for bedrooms and living rooms where background noise from a ceiling fan would be intrusive during evening use or sleep.
