Description

The Neo is a wall-mounted reading light with an integrated rocker switch on a circular satin nickel backplate, supporting a 550mm frosted glass shade that tapers from 150mm at the top to a narrow point at the base. The single E27 lampholder sits inside the glass, casting light through the frosted finish and creating a soft diffused glow against the wall.

Designed for bedside positions, hallway sconces and bathroom mirror lighting, the Neo puts the switch at arm's reach without needing to wire into a separate wall switch. The 180mm projection from the wall keeps the glass clear of the mounting surface while remaining shallow enough for narrow hallways and smaller bathrooms. The frosted glass hides the bulb filament or LED element from direct view, reducing glare when the light is switched on at eye level.

The satin nickel finish on the backplate and shade holder provides a soft brushed metal surface that sits between polished chrome and antique brass in tone, pairing comfortably with stainless steel bathroom fittings, brushed nickel taps and contemporary grey-toned interiors. The Neo accepts any E27 LED or halogen bulb up to the rated wattage (see Specification tab) and is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmable E27 bulb and a suitable dimmer switch on the circuit.

Does the switch on the backplate control the light directly?

Yes. The rocker switch on the circular backplate switches the light on and off locally, so you do not need to walk to a wall switch or pull a cord. The circuit must still be powered by a wall switch or fused spur, but the local switch allows bedside control.

What bulb does it take?

The Neo takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm white LED bulb between 6W and 10W at 2700K-3000K for bedside or bathroom use.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself is dimmable when you use a dimmable E27 bulb and install a dimmer switch on the circuit. The rocker switch on the backplate is not a dimmer — it is an on/off switch only.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The Neo does not carry an IP rating for bathroom zones in the Specification table. For bathroom installation, confirm the fitting is suitable for the intended zone with a qualified electrician before proceeding.
