Description
The Nelson is a 50cm linear LED wall light with an integrated 24W LED and a matt black rectangular housing that casts light upward and downward in equal measure. The integrated LED delivers 1800 lumens and offers three switchable colour temperatures — 2700K extra warm white, 3000K warm white, and 4000K cool white — selected via a wall switch cycle during installation or use.
Designed for hallways, stairwells, feature walls and above beds as reading lights, the Nelson provides both ambient wall-washing and directed task light depending on colour temperature selection. The 505mm width suits walls between 1.5m and 3m wide, creating a horizontal accent line that works in both residential and commercial settings. The 46mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting close to the surface, suitable for narrower corridors and spaces where projection matters.
The matt black finish absorbs rather than reflects light, which keeps attention on the lit wall surface rather than the fitting itself. The rectangular profile measures 74mm high, giving the fitting enough visual presence to read as intentional architectural detail rather than recessed infrastructure. The housing is aluminium with a powder-coated finish, giving the 1.3kg fitting structural rigidity without excessive weight on plasterboard walls.
The LED is not dimmable but the three colour temperature options allow functional flexibility: 2700K for bedrooms and living rooms where warmer tones suit evening use, 3000K as a neutral middle option for multi-use spaces, and 4000K for task-focused areas like home offices, kitchens and bathrooms where cooler light aids concentration and colour accuracy.

Frequently Asked
How is the colour temperature changed?
The Nelson uses CCT switching controlled by the mains wall switch. Turn the light off and on again within 3 seconds to cycle between 2700K, 3000K and 4000K. The fitting remembers the last selected temperature when powered off for longer periods.
Is the Nelson dimmable?
No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches. The three colour temperature options provide functional flexibility, but brightness remains constant at 1800 lumens.
What walls is it suitable for?
The 1.3kg weight suits standard plasterboard walls with appropriate fixings (wall plugs and screws, supplied). For masonry or brick walls, use masonry anchors. The 46mm projection from the wall means the fitting does not interfere with door swings or narrow corridors.
Does light spread evenly up and down?
Yes. The LED strips inside the housing cast equal light output upward and downward, creating symmetrical wall-washing. The effect works best on walls painted in lighter tones (white, off-white, light grey) where reflected light contributes to overall room brightness.
