Description

The Nassau is a 1820mm floor lamp built on a slender black metal stem with a 270mm weighted base and an angled oval LED head at the top. The integrated 30W LED produces 2800 lumens at 3000K warm white, controlled by an inline floor dimmer that sits on the cable approximately 400mm from the base, allowing brightness to be adjusted from soft ambient to full output without leaving a seated position.

Designed as task and reading lighting for living rooms, home offices and bedrooms, the Nassau directs light downward from the angled head onto a reading position, desk surface or seating area. The tall stem places the light source at approximately 1700mm above floor level, similar to the height of an over-shoulder reading position when seated. The 270mm circular base provides stability on carpets and hard floors without requiring a large footprint, and the 5kg weight prevents tipping when the head is adjusted.

The black powder-coated metal finish absorbs rather than reflects light, keeping the stem visually recessive even when the lamp is at full output. The oval LED head measures approximately 150mm across its longest axis and houses the diffuser panel behind a black metal rim. The dimmer operates by rotating a dial on the inline control box, giving continuous adjustment rather than stepped levels. The lamp draws 33W at full brightness and runs on standard 230V UK mains.

The Nassau has an inline dimmer control box on the mains cable approximately 400mm from the base. Rotate the dial on the control box to adjust brightness continuously from low ambient output to the full 2800 lumens. The dimmer does not require a separate wall switch or app — it operates independently on the lamp's cable.

Can the head be adjusted?

The head angle is factory-set to direct light downward and slightly forward from the top of the stem. It is not designed to pivot or tilt during use. The light direction is fixed to the angled position shown.

What rooms does it suit?
