Description

The Namori is a ceiling fan and a main light in one low, round fitting, 50cm in diameter and just 14cm high, so it sits close to the ceiling rather than hanging beneath it. The body is black steel, and three translucent blades turn at its centre, framed by rings of milky acrylic that glow whenever the light is lit. The light source is integrated LED: four lights at 9W each, every one giving 1,100 lumens, with a colour temperature range of 2700K to 6500K that runs from a warm, cosy white to a crisp daylight white. The light is dimmable, too.

We would put it indoors in a dry room. In a bedroom it gives a gentle breeze on a warm night and a soft, dimmed light at bedtime from the one fitting, and in a living room, study or home office it lights the room from a single central point. Because it sits so flat, it suits rooms where a hanging fan with long blades would feel crowded, and anyone who would rather keep one fitting on the ceiling than two. The remote control comes in the box and the fan is controlled by it, with a choice of three speeds, so changing a setting never means getting out of bed.

The body is steel with a black finish, and the diffusers are milky acrylic, which softens the LEDs into smooth bands of light. It runs on 220-240V, 50Hz mains and carries energy class E. The packed weight is 5.787KG, a useful figure when you plan the lift. As a mains fitting wired into the ceiling, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download.

Yes, a remote control comes in the box, and the fan is controlled by it, with a choice of three speeds.

How bright is the light?

The integrated LED has four lights at 9W each, and each one gives 1,100 lumens. It is dimmable, and the colour temperature range runs from 2700K to 6500K.

How big is the fan?

It is 50cm in diameter and 14cm high, so it sits close to the ceiling and suits rooms where a long-bladed hanging fan would feel crowded.

Which finish is it?
