When lit, the glass base catches and refracts light through its vertical ribbing, creating a secondary decorative effect below the shade.

Designed for bedside tables, console tables, and side tables in living rooms and bedrooms, the Muse provides ambient light rather than concentrated task lighting. The 32cm diameter footprint suits narrow consoles and standard bedside tables without overhanging. The cast glass base is solid rather than hollow, giving the lamp stability on flat surfaces. What bulb does the Muse take?

The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient bedroom or living room lighting.

Is the glass base solid or hollow?

The ribbed glass base is solid cast glass, not hollow. This gives the lamp stability on flat surfaces and creates the refractive effect when the lamp is lit.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means the Muse is not protected against moisture and should only be used in dry indoor rooms. It is not suitable for bathrooms or other damp environments.

How is the glass cleaned?

Wipe the ribbed glass base with a dry microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or smudges, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the base where it meets the metal fittings. Do not use glass cleaners or sprays that might leave residue in the ribbing.
