Description

The Mural is a 24W dimmable LED wall light built from two interlocking circular frames connected through a central mounting plate, finished in matt white. The integrated LEDs sit behind the frames and cast light both forward and backward, creating a halo effect where light wraps around the circular profiles and projects onto the wall behind. The 3000K warm white output delivers 1440lm across a 120° beam angle.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and landing walls where decorative and ambient light are both needed, the Mural can be mounted as a single piece or grouped in multiples to create larger illuminated patterns. The 430mm width and 40mm projection from the wall make it suitable for walls where a flush or near-flush fitting would look too small but a traditional sconce would project too far. The dimming function allows the light level to be reduced from full 1440lm ambient output down to a low glow for evening use, though this requires a compatible dimmer on the circuit.

The matt white finish absorbs rather than reflects light, keeping the fitting itself visually quiet while the halo effect provides the focal interest. The circular frames are made from powder-coated aluminium, keeping the 0.62kg weight low enough for plasterboard fixing with appropriate anchors. The 100-240V input makes the Mural compatible with UK mains and international voltages without needing a transformer.

The Mural requires a trailing-edge (TRIAC) LED-compatible dimmer rated for the wattage of the circuit. Check the dimmer manufacturer's LED compatibility list before purchase, as not all dimmers handle integrated LED wall lights reliably. Mantra does not supply or recommend specific dimmer models.

Can multiple Mural lights be grouped on one wall?

Yes. The 430mm x 260mm footprint allows multiple units to be arranged vertically, horizontally or in geometric patterns without overlapping. Ensure each fitting has its own cable run back to the circuit, or wire in series if the total wattage stays within the circuit rating.

What is the halo effect?

The integrated LEDs are positioned behind the circular frames, so light radiates both forward into the room and backward onto the wall behind the fitting. This creates a glowing outline around each circle when viewed from the side, adding depth and making the fitting appear backlit.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED modules are integrated into the fitting and are not user-replaceable. The LEDs carry a rated lifespan of 30,000+ hours, equivalent to approximately 10 years of typical domestic use at 8 hours per day.
