Description
The Knightsbridge multimedia combination plate integrates four 13A DP switched sockets and eight Euro module apertures (25 x 50mm) behind a single smoked bronze screwless faceplate with a black insert. The four sockets are arranged as two 2-gang groups, each with double-pole switching that isolates both live and neutral lines when switched off. The eight module apertures accept Knightsbridge modular inserts for HDMI, RJ45 networking, coaxial satellite, DAB, USB charging, phone line and other signal distribution.
Designed for AV and home automation installations, the plate suits media walls behind TVs, workstations where multiple devices and cables terminate in one location, and installation racks where power and signal distribution need to be combined. The 297.5mm width and 179.5mm height make it a double-width plate that typically occupies the space of two standard UK sockets side-by-side. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate steel sub-frame fixed to the back box, hiding all fixings once installed.
The smoked bronze finish is a mid-tone metallic with a warm brown-grey base that sits between polished brass and graphite. It pairs well with wood grain interiors, warm-toned greys and reclaimed industrial finishes. The black insert behind the faceplate hides the back of the cover plate and provides a defined edge around each aperture. The 35mm minimum back box depth is deeper than standard socket boxes due to the modular insert capacity — ensure sufficient wall depth or surface-mount boxes are used where back boxes cannot be recessed.

Frequently Asked
What back box depth is required?
A 35mm minimum back box depth is needed. This is deeper than standard socket boxes due to the modular insert capacity. Where wall depth is limited, surface-mount boxes can be used instead of recessed back boxes.
What modular inserts are compatible?
The plate accepts Knightsbridge Euro modules measuring 25 x 50mm. Compatible inserts include HDMI, RJ45 networking, coaxial satellite, DAB, USB charging, phone line, and blank modules. Inserts are sold separately and can be mixed to suit the installation.
Is the screwless plate removable for redecorating?
Yes. The cover plate clips onto a separate steel sub-frame fixed to the back box. The cover can be removed for painting around the plate and re-clipped without re-wiring or removing the sockets and modules.
What's the total socket rating?
Each of the four sockets is rated at 13A (3,120W maximum per outlet). The combined load across all four sockets should not exceed the rating of the ring main or dedicated circuit serving the plate — typically 32A for a UK ring final circuit.
