Description

Mosvine is a smart outdoor floor lamp shaped as a white globe, 50cm tall and 50cm across, resting on a low base. The body and the shade are both white plastic, so the whole sphere glows evenly once it is lit. Inside is an E27 bulb fitting, rated 9W and giving 1,300lm. It is rated IP65, which means it is sealed against dust and protected from jets of water, so it can stand outdoors in a garden or on a patio.

Because it stands on the ground rather than fixing to a wall, you can move it wherever the evening needs it: beside a seating area, at the edge of a lawn, along a path or next to the back door. It runs from a cable and plug, so it goes anywhere a socket is within reach. It suits anyone who wants a glow in the garden without fixing anything to the house. The light is colour-changing, so the globe can glow in a bold colour for a party and settle back to a gentle glow for a quiet night. You can also adjust the colour temperature, warmer for relaxing and cooler for a crisper look, and the lamp is dimmable to suit the moment.

Control is through an app, so you can change the colour, the colour temperature and the brightness from your phone without walking out to the lamp. It also works with a remote control, sold separately, if you would rather have a handset. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz and carries energy class E, and the lamp weighs 4.5KG packed. The installation instructions come as a download, so you can read them before it goes into the garden.

Frequently Asked

Can the Mosvine globe stay outdoors?

Yes. It is rated IP65, so it is sealed against dust and protected from jets of water, which suits a garden, a patio or the edge of a path.

How big is the globe?

The lamp is 50cm tall and 50cm across, a generous sphere that stands out clearly across a lawn or patio after dark.

Can I change the colour of the light?

Yes. The light is colour-changing, the colour temperature adjusts from warmer to cooler, and the lamp is dimmable, all controlled through an app.

Does it come with a remote control?

No. It works with a remote control, but the remote is sold separately; everyday control is through the app on your phone.

How is it powered?

It runs from a cable and plug on 220-240V, 50/60Hz, so it needs a socket within reach of where it stands.

How bright is it?

The E27 fitting is rated 9W and gives 1,300lm, and because the lamp is dimmable you can turn it down for a softer glow.
