Description

The Morne is a 450mm horizontal LED bathroom wall light with an integrated 12W 4000K LED strip producing 1080 lumens behind a white rectangular housing. The fitting mounts directly above or beside bathroom mirrors, providing shadow-free task lighting across the mirror surface with a 120° beam angle that spreads light evenly without hard edges.

Designed for installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3 (IP44-rated), the Morne works above vanity mirrors in en-suites, family bathrooms and cloakrooms where ceiling heights or mirror positions make overhead lighting impractical. The 450mm length suits mirrors between 500-800mm wide, giving balanced coverage without extending past the mirror edge. At 60mm projection from the wall and 140mm height, the fitting sits close to the surface without interfering with headroom or mirror visibility.

The white powder-coated finish on the metal housing gives a clean, neutral appearance that pairs with white tiles, light-toned wood cabinetry and contemporary bathroom fittings. The 4000K colour temperature sits between warm white and daylight, providing accurate colour rendering for grooming and makeup application without the yellow cast of warmer LEDs. The fitting is not dimmable and connects directly to mains 220-240V without requiring a separate driver box.

What bathroom zones can the Morne be installed in?

The IP44 rating makes the Morne safe for installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3. Zone 2 covers areas within 60cm of a bath or shower tray and above 2.25m from the floor. Zone 3 is any area outside zones 0, 1 and 2 within the bathroom. The fitting should not be installed in zones 0 or 1 (inside the shower enclosure or bath).

Is the Morne dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches and must be connected to a standard non-dimmed mains circuit.

What mirror width does the 450mm length suit?

The 450mm light length works best with mirrors between 500-800mm wide. For wider mirrors, two Morne fittings can be mounted in parallel or a longer model from the same the range may be available.

How is the fitting mounted?

The Morne mounts directly to the wall via a backplate using two screws and wall plugs (supplied). The mains cable enters through a knockout in the backplate. Professional installation by a qualified electrician is recommended for bathroom zones.
