Description

The Morne is a 750mm black rectangular bathroom mirror light with an integrated 20W LED delivering 1800lm at 4000K cool white. The matt black metal frame sits 60mm proud of the wall and houses the LED strip behind a frosted polycarbonate diffuser, distributing light evenly across the width of the fitting to reduce shadows around mirrors.

Designed for above or beside bathroom mirrors, the Morne carries an IP44 rating suitable for zones 2 and 3 (outside the direct shower spray but within bathroom humidity). The 750mm length suits mirrors from 600-900mm wide, providing enough spread to light both sides of a face without glare. The fitting mounts horizontally on two concealed wall screws, with the driver housed in the back box and wired to the mains via a junction box.

The matt black finish sits flush with the polycarbonate diffuser and provides a defined edge that works in monochrome bathrooms, industrial-style wet rooms, and contemporary schemes pairing black metalwork with white sanitaryware. The 4000K colour temperature sits between warm white (2700-3000K) and daylight (5000K+), giving neutral light that renders skin tones accurately for shaving and makeup application without the yellow cast of warmer LEDs.

The integrated LED draws 20W on 230V mains, comparable in output to a 100W halogen but with lower heat generation and a longer service life. No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and must be wired to a standard on/off switch or bathroom pull-cord. Connecting it to a dimmer circuit may cause flickering or damage the driver.

What bathroom zones is it rated for?

The IP44 rating allows use in zones 2 and 3, meaning it can be mounted outside the direct shower spray (60cm+ from shower heads or bath taps) but within the general bathroom area subject to humidity and occasional water splashes.

What size mirror does the 750mm length suit?

The 750mm fitting works best with mirrors from 600-900mm wide. For larger mirrors or double-basin vanities, consider mounting two Morne fittings side by side or choosing a longer fitting from the range.

Can it be installed vertically?
