Description

The Kichler Mona is a 762mm wall light built around a frosted glass cylinder suspended between two polished chrome arms that extend from a vertical chrome stem. Two 3W G9 LED bulbs (included) sit inside the glass shade, emitting 3000K warm white light diffused through the frosted glass. The IP44 rating allows safe use in bathroom zones 2 and 3, as well as other areas subject to occasional moisture.

Designed for vertical mounting either side of a bathroom mirror, in hallways, or flanking a bedroom headboard, the Mona provides task and ambient light without glare. The 762mm height suits standard 2.4m ceiling heights, sitting proportionally above a vanity unit or washbasin without dominating the wall. The 117mm projection from the wall keeps the fitting clear of most mirror edges while the 204mm width maintains a compact footprint.

The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding light and pairs with contemporary bathroom fittings in chrome, brushed nickel and stainless steel. The frosted glass hides the LED bulbs from direct view while maintaining even light distribution across the shade. The vertical stem and symmetrical arms give the fitting a mid-century profile that suits both traditional and modern interiors. Can this be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating makes the Mona suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, meaning it can be installed more than 60cm from a shower or bath, or outside zones 0-1 entirely. It is not rated for installation directly above a bath or inside a shower enclosure.

Are the LED bulbs replaceable?

Yes. The fitting uses standard G9 LED bulbs rated at 3W maximum. The included bulbs are 3000K warm white. If a bulb fails or you prefer a different colour temperature, replacement G9 LEDs are widely available.

What height should it be mounted above a vanity?

For mirror-side installation, the centre of the fitting typically sits 1500-1700mm from the floor, which places the light at head height for most users standing at a washbasin. This provides even facial illumination without shadows.

Is it dimmable?

The included G9 LED bulbs are not dimmable. If dimming is required, the bulbs can be replaced with dimmable G9 LEDs, but a compatible LED dimmer switch must be used to avoid flicker or buzzing.
