Mona 2 Light Large Wall Light - Polished Brass

The Kichler Mona is a 762mm wall light built around a polished brass frame with two 3W G9 LED lamps positioned above and below a cylindrical opal glass diffuser. The brass arms extend vertically from a central mounting backplate, sandwiching the glass shade between polished brass bands at top and bottom. Both G9 lamps are included and produce 3000K warm white light through the translucent glass.

Designed for bathrooms, hallways and bedroom walls where vertical space allows, the Mona carries an IP44 rating for safe installation in zones 2 and 3 of a bathroom (outside the immediate shower or bath area). The 762mm height works on walls with 2.4m+ ceilings where the fitting can sit centred between floor and ceiling or mounted at eye level beside a mirror. The 117mm projection from the wall clears most skirting boards and provides sufficient clearance in narrow hallways without obstructing passage.

The polished brass finish provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with both traditional and mid-century interiors, and the reflective surface catches ambient light during the day when the fitting is switched off. The opal glass diffuses the LED output evenly, avoiding visible hotspots or dark zones along the length of the shade. At 204mm wide, the Mona occupies a narrow footprint suitable for installation between doorways or beside vanity mirrors without dominating the wall plane.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, which covers areas outside the immediate shower or bath enclosure. It is not suitable for installation directly above a bath or inside a shower cubicle.

Are the LED lamps replaceable?

Yes. The fitting uses standard G9 capsule LED lamps rated at 3W maximum. The two 3000K lamps included can be replaced with other G9 LEDs if needed, though most G9 LED lamps last 15,000-25,000 hours.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 762mm height works best on walls in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, where the fitting can be mounted at eye level (approximately 1.5-1.7m from the floor) or centred vertically on the wall without appearing cramped.

Is the brass finish lacquered?

Polished brass bathroom fittings are typically lacquered to prevent tarnishing in humid environments. The finish should not require polishing under normal use, though avoid abrasive cleaners that might damage the lacquer coat.
