Description

The Mollis is a table lamp built around a curved black metal dome shade set on a matching black metal stem and weighted circular base. A single G9 bulb sits inside the dome behind a white acrylic diffuser, casting downward-directed light onto the surface below while the acrylic softens glare and spreads the beam. The shade itself acts as a partial shield, containing most of the light within the lower hemisphere.

Designed for desks, bedside tables and reading corners where directed task light is needed, the Mollis sits 43cm tall with a 29cm-wide dome and an 18cm base footprint. The curved shade directs light downward in a roughly 120-degree spread, which suits focused reading positions, laptop work and bedtime reading without flooding the whole room with light. The weighted base keeps the lamp stable on surfaces up to typical desk or bedside table height.

The black metal finish is matt rather than gloss, reducing reflections under daylight and pairing cleanly with contemporary, industrial and monochrome interiors. The acrylic diffuser hides the G9 bulb from direct view when the lamp is switched on, preventing uncomfortable glare when seated at desk or bedside height. The lamp accepts any standard G9 bulb up to 7W (sold separately), allowing flexibility to choose warm-white, cool-white or daylight colour temperatures depending on the room use.

The inline cable switch sits approximately 1m down the cord from the lamp base, allowing the lamp to be switched on and off without reaching behind furniture or underneath the shade. The IP20 rating means the lamp is suitable for dry indoor spaces only and should not be used in bathrooms, kitchens or outdoor locations.
