Description

The Mistral Mini is a 450mm ceiling fan light with an integrated 2500lm dimmable LED and retractable transparent blades housed within a matt black circular canopy. The LED offers tuneable white colour temperature between 2700K (warm white) and 5000K (cool daylight), adjustable via the included remote control. When the fan is off, the blades retract inside the canopy, leaving only a flush circular light fitting visible on the ceiling.

Designed for bedrooms, living rooms and home offices with ceiling heights of 2.4-2.7m, the Mistral Mini provides both cooling airflow and primary room lighting without needing separate fittings. The 68W power consumption covers both fan motor and LED light. The 910mm blade sweep (when extended) is suitable for rooms up to approximately 15m² without overwhelming smaller spaces. The remote control allows independent adjustment of light brightness, colour temperature and fan speed without wall switches.

The matt black finish on the metal canopy and downrod absorbs light rather than reflecting it, giving the fitting a monolithic appearance against white ceilings. The transparent polycarbonate blades remain largely invisible when spinning, maintaining the clean circular profile. The 120° beam angle from the LED provides wide room coverage rather than a focused downlight effect. At 4.5kg the fitting requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or noggin, not just plasterboard.

Can the light and fan be controlled separately?

Yes. The remote control allows independent adjustment of light brightness, colour temperature and fan speed. You can run the light without the fan, or the fan without the light, or both together.

What room size does it suit?

The 910mm blade sweep suits rooms up to approximately 15m² (roughly 3.8m x 4m). Larger rooms may benefit from a larger model in the Mistral range, or multiple fittings.

How is it installed?

The 4.5kg weight requires fixing directly to a ceiling joist or a noggin between joists. It cannot be safely mounted to plasterboard alone. The fitting connects to standard 230V mains wiring and includes a remote receiver unit that sits between the ceiling rose and the fan canopy.

Yes. When the fan is switched off, the transparent blades retract inside the black circular canopy, leaving only a flush round light fitting visible from below.
