The Miss is a 490mm sculptural pendant light with three E27 bulb fittings housed within a gloss black polyurethane shade formed into flowing vertical folds. The shade sits beneath a polished chrome circular canopy, suspended on a black fabric-wrapped cable with an adjustable drop between 500mm and 1500mm. Each fold in the shade is moulded as a rigid, repeating curve that catches light differently as viewing angle changes.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and central room positions where sculptural lighting serves as both task and feature, the Miss provides downlight through the gaps between the folds while the gloss black finish reflects ambient light from the room back into the space. The 490mm diameter suits tables 1400-2000mm long or kitchen islands of similar width. The adjustable cable allows the pendant to be set 700-900mm above a dining surface depending on ceiling height, or shortened for lower ceilings to maintain appropriate head clearance.

The polyurethane construction keeps the weight to 3.1kg while maintaining the crisp edges of each fold. The gloss black finish is applied as a UV-cured lacquer over the moulded form, giving a mirror-like surface that shows fingerprints and dust, so the shade benefits from occasional wiping with a microfibre cloth. The polished chrome canopy and mounting hardware provide a bright metallic contrast against the black shade and cable, creating a defined top edge to the composition.

What bulbs does it take?

The Miss takes three E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs in the 6-10W range and 2700K-3000K colour temperature for dining and kitchen island applications.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if paired with dimmable E27 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself has no electronic components that would prevent dimming, so dimmer compatibility depends entirely on the bulbs chosen.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable cable allows drops from 500mm to 1500mm. For a dining table or kitchen island the pendant typically sits 700-900mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the Miss if the cable is shortened during installation.

How is the gloss finish maintained?

The gloss black lacquer shows fingerprints and dust, so wipe periodically with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid spray cleaners or polishes that may damage the UV-cured lacquer finish.
