The Mirage rug is a modern abstract design in beige and cream, patterned with rows of broken bars that sit across it like staggered lines of brickwork. Metallic effect yarn runs through the design, giving it a gentle sheen that catches the light against the paler cream ground. It is machine made from polyester and viscose in a high density weave, and its textured pile gives the pattern a sense of depth and a pleasing feel underfoot.

This is a rug for the living room, where its soft neutral colours sit happily with light wooden floors, natural textures and warmer accent shades. We sell it in four sizes. The 80 by 150cm rug suits a smaller spot, such as beside an armchair or in front of a fireplace. At 120 by 170cm or 160 by 230cm it sits well in front of a sofa and under a coffee table, defining a seating area without covering the whole floor.
