Description

The Milo is a table lamp built around a white ceramic gourd-form base with an aged brass collar at the foot and top, supporting a 14" diameter drum shade in Linear Antique fabric. The shade fabric has a horizontal-stripe texture in warm beige tones that diffuses light softly when the lamp is switched on. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately).

Designed for bedside tables, console tables and low side tables in living rooms, the Milo stands approximately 700mm tall from base to shade finial. The broad drum shade provides horizontal light spread that works well for reading or ambient lighting in rooms where a ceiling fitting cannot be installed. The white ceramic base has a gloss finish that reflects daylight and pairs cleanly with both warm-toned and neutral colour schemes.

The aged brass metalwork at the collar and finial develops a darker patina over time, giving the lamp a warmer tone than polished brass. The Linear Antique shade pattern adds horizontal texture without dominating the visual profile, making the Milo suitable for rooms where pattern elsewhere (rugs, curtains, wallpaper) would clash with a more assertive shade design. The lamp cord exits at the base and includes an inline rocker switch.

The Milo takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedside or living room ambient lighting.

What height is the lamp?

From base to the top of the shade finial, the lamp stands approximately 700mm tall. The shade itself is 14" (approximately 355mm) in diameter.

Is the shade replaceable?

Yes. The shade sits on a standard spider fitting secured by the brass finial at the top. If the shade is damaged or you wish to change the pattern, any 14" drum shade with a compatible spider fitting can be substituted.

Can the aged brass be polished?

The aged brass finish is applied deliberately to give a darker, warmer tone than polished brass. Attempting to polish it would remove the patina and change the intended appearance of the lamp.
