An 8W GU10 LED bulb (included) casts warm 3000K light through the seeded glass, creating a textured light pattern on adjacent walls and pathways.

Designed for porches, entrance ways, garage sides and courtyard walls, the Miles carries an IP44 rating for protection against solid objects over 1mm and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for exposed positions under eaves or canopies where direct overhead rain is minimised. The coastal composite construction resists rust and corrosion in salt-air environments, and the 158mm projection from the wall gives clearance for the glass shade to sit clear of rendered or textured wall surfaces.

The seeded glass contains intentional bubbles and irregularities in the material, giving each panel a hand-worked appearance and breaking the light into softer fragments rather than a single harsh downward beam. The black metal frame uses a simple bracket-and-cage geometry that pairs with both traditional cottage exteriors and contemporary rendered facades. The fitting mounts to a standard UK back box and connects to mains lighting circuits via the rear bracket.

Does it come with a bulb?

Yes. The Miles includes an 8W GU10 LED bulb at 3000K warm white. Replacement GU10 bulbs are widely available and can be swapped for different colour temperatures or wattages up to the 8W maximum if needed.

Can it be used in fully exposed positions?

The IP44 rating protects against water splashes from any direction but not direct jets or submersion. The Miles is best installed under eaves, canopies or porch overhangs rather than on fully exposed walls open to driving rain. For fully exposed positions, look for IP65-rated fittings.
