The Messe is a 12 light crystal floor lamp built around a polished chrome wire frame that extends outward in a spherical tangle of intertwined loops, each terminating in an Asfour crystal sphere. The 550mm-diameter head sits on a 1730mm polished chrome column and circular base, with twelve G4 bulbs (included) positioned inside the crystal spheres to scatter light through the cut facets.

Designed for living rooms, entrance halls and bedrooms where high ceilings and open floor plans give the lamp room to register visually, the Messe functions as both ambient lighting and a sculptural focal piece. The polished chrome finish reflects light from the G4 bulbs back through the crystals, creating a halo of refracted patterns on nearby walls and ceilings. The lamp works best in spaces with neutral or dark-toned surroundings where the chrome and crystal can stand out rather than compete with pattern or bright colour.

Each of the twelve G4 bulbs is rated at 20W maximum, giving the lamp a total output capability of 240W when all twelve bulbs are fitted and lit. The lamp is dimmable when paired with dimmable G4 halogen capsules — LED and CFL G4 bulbs are not compatible with this fitting. The 9kg weight and circular base provide stability on carpets and hard floors, though the chrome column and wire frame require care during installation to avoid fingerprints on the polished finish.

Are the bulbs included?

Yes. The lamp ships with twelve G4 20W halogen capsule bulbs fitted. These are dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer on the mains circuit.

Can I use LED G4 bulbs instead of halogen?

No. The lamp is not compatible with LED or CFL G4 capsules. It requires standard halogen G4 bulbs up to 20W per fitting.

Is the lamp dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G4 halogen bulbs (included) and connected to a compatible dimmer switch on the mains circuit. The dimmer must be rated for the lamp's total 240W load.

What ceiling height is needed?

The lamp stands 1730mm tall and the crystal head extends 550mm in diameter. Rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above give the lamp enough clearance to avoid the head feeling cramped against the ceiling. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the Messe if there is sufficient open floor space around it.
