Description

The Meridian is a 3 light semi-flush ceiling light from Hinkley, combining a polished chrome frame with three frosted faceted glass drum shades. Each shade houses a 3W LED G9 bulb (included), delivering 3000K warm white light through the frosted glass. The fitting sits 311mm below the ceiling with a 406mm diameter circular canopy, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or above.

Designed for bathrooms, hallways, bedrooms and low-ceiling living spaces, the Meridian carries an IP44 rating, providing splash protection for bathroom zones 2 and 3. The three curved chrome arms extend from a central stem, positioning each shade at an equal spacing around the canopy. The low-profile design keeps the fitting close to the ceiling while the frosted glass softens the light output and eliminates visible bulb glare.

The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light and pairs with chrome taps, handles and accessories in bathrooms, or adds a metallic accent in neutral-toned hallways and bedrooms. The faceted glass drums introduce subtle geometric detail without dominating the fitting's overall clean-lined profile. The combined output of three 3W LEDs provides sufficient ambient light for spaces up to 12-15m² without needing additional fittings.

Can this be installed in a bathroom?

Yes. The Meridian carries an IP44 rating, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the shower enclosure and beyond 600mm from a bath or basin). It cannot be installed directly above a shower or bath (zone 1) as it does not carry the IP65 or IP67 rating required for those positions.

Are the LED bulbs replaceable?

Yes. The fitting uses three G9 LED bulbs, which are included. If a bulb fails, replacement G9 LEDs are widely available and can be purchased separately from Niori or other lighting retailers.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fitting projects 311mm below the ceiling. For comfortable clearance in a hallway or room, a ceiling height of at least 2.3m is recommended. In bathrooms where the fitting is positioned centrally rather than above a doorway, 2.4m or higher is preferable.

Is the light dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific LED bulbs supplied and the dimmer model. G9 LED bulbs vary in their dimmer compatibility — contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm.
