Description

The Mercury VDP002 is a 2-wire video intercom that lets you see and speak to callers at your door or gate. Also known as a video door phone, it pairs a 7" wide-format touchscreen indoor unit with an IP55 weatherproof outdoor station. The screen carries a multilingual interface with interchangeable wallpapers, and it runs at 1024 x 600 resolution. The outdoor camera captures 1080p full colour images, with infrared night vision keeping the picture clear in low light and after dark.

Installation uses just two core cable between the indoor and outdoor units, so it suits DIY fitting. All mounting brackets, fixings and a UK power supply are included in the box. The power supply takes AC100~240V input and outputs 15Vdc at 2A. Transmission distance depends on cable thickness, running up to 100m on 1.5mm² cable and around 50m on 1.0mm². Two-way audio gives you clear duplex speech with your visitor, and talk time runs up to 120 seconds per call.

Beyond answering the door, the VDP002 handles electric door and gate release, so you can unlock both from the indoor unit. Remote monitoring works through the TUYA app on a compatible smart device over Wi-Fi, letting you check the camera feed when you are away from home. Fit a TF card (not supplied, up to 128GB) to store images and video from the camera. The indoor unit measures 174 x 118 x 22mm and weighs 322g, while the compact outdoor camera measures 134 x 48 x 40mm and weighs 200g with its rain shade.

The outdoor station is rated IP55 and works from -20°C to +50°C, so it is built for outdoor use. It also includes a rain shade.
