Description

The Mercury TSS09 is a bench top soldering iron holder built to keep a hot iron parked safely between jobs. It gives your iron a fixed home on the workbench, which helps you avoid accidental contact with the hot tip and cuts down the risk of scorched surfaces or burns while you work.

Construction is all metal, so the stand stays put and copes with the heat of a working iron. A bit cleaning sponge is included, sitting in the base tray so you can wipe the tip clean as you go and keep your solder joints tidy. The coiled cradle holds most standard irons, and the weight helps stop the whole thing sliding around when you lift the iron in and out.

At 120 x 80 x 45mm and 213g, it takes up little room on the bench but has enough mass to feel stable in use. It suits hobby electronics, model making, repairs and general workshop soldering. If you already own a soldering iron without its own rest, this gives you a safe place to set it down and a sponge for cleaning, both in one simple metal unit.
