Description

This is a rugged, metal bodied LED torch (flashlight) that charges over USB C, so you can top it up from the same cables you already use for a phone or tablet. The main beam is bright and dimmable, and there are four modes to work through: high, low, strobe and SOS. You cycle between them with the power button, and holding the button down brings up the emergency SOS flashing pattern when you need to signal for help.

A telescopic zoom lets you narrow the beam to a tight spot for distance or widen it to light up a wider area close to you. The rechargeable 18650 battery is included, with a 2000mAh capacity that gives up to eight hours of use on a single charge. A charge LED indicator shows high or low status, so you know when it needs plugging back in. Charging from empty takes around eight hours.

The head has a bevelled edge designed for breaking a window in an emergency, which makes it a sensible thing to keep in the car alongside its everyday use. It is water resistant, so light rain and splashes are not a problem, and the metal body copes with knocks. It suits hiking, camping and general around the house or garage jobs where you want a dependable light you can recharge rather than feeding it disposable batteries.
