Description
This outdoor Wi-Fi security camera from Mercury runs on an integrated solar panel, so you can keep an eye on your property without trailing power cables across the garden. It captures 2MP HD images across a 110° wide angle using a 2.8mm lens, and sends full colour footage straight to your smart device through the TUYA app. Setup is wire-free and quick, with the camera fixing to an external wall using the supplied mounting bracket and fixings.
Four LEDs, two high power white and two infrared, cover distances up to 15 metres both day and night. You can pick from smart mode, infrared mode or colour mode depending on how you want night vision to work. A PIR sensor handles human detection, and there's a two-way intercom plus an audible alarm so you can speak to visitors or ward off anyone who shouldn't be there. Footage and images save to a TF card (called a memory card in the UK, not supplied) for you to review later.
Power comes from four removable 18650 lithium rechargeable batteries, rated at 2200mAh each, topped up by the 3.5W solar panel. With enough daylight the camera keeps itself charged, and the batteries hold up to four months of use even without any sun. The unit carries an IP55 rating for outdoor conditions and works across an operating range of -10°C to 60°C, so it copes with British weather through the year. Wireless range is around 80m in open areas.
