Description
The Mercury MTB01 is a handy digital multimeter that covers everyday testing jobs around the home, workshop or bench. It offers 19 testing ranges across 7 functions, so you can check voltage, current and resistance without swapping between separate tools. It arrives ready to use with shrouded testing probes, a PVC shockproof jacket and a PP3 battery, meaning you can start taking readings straight out of the box.
On the electrical side, the MTB01 measures AC voltage from 200 to 500V and DC voltage from 200mV to 500V, along with DC current from 2000uA to 5A and resistance from 200 Ohms up to 2000K Ohms. Alongside these core measurements, it includes a continuity test function for checking circuits and connections, a transistor test function, and a square wave signal output for basic testing work. It complies with EN61010-1:2010, the safety standard for this type of test and measurement equipment.
The unit runs on a single 9Vdc PP3 battery, which is supplied, so there are no extra parts to buy before you get going. It measures 126 x 70 x 29mm and weighs 128g, making it easy to hold in one hand or slip into a toolbox. The test leads (test lead length 570mm) give enough reach for most jobs, and the fitted PVC jacket helps protect the meter against knocks. It is a straightforward, practical choice for anyone who needs reliable readings without a lot of fuss.
