Description

The Mercury HDR01 is a heavy duty rubber torch built to take knocks and stay working. The all rubber construction gives it a soft grip that resists shocks, and the anti-roll body shape keeps it in place when you set it down on a slope or an uneven surface. It carries an IPX3 rating, so it copes with rain and splashes while you work outdoors.

Three wide angle LEDs put out a broad 15 lumen spread rather than a tight beam, which suits close jobs like checking under a bonnet, working in a shed, or moving around the garden at night. The torch (or flashlight, if you use the American term) runs on 2 x AA batteries, which are not included, so you can pick up your preferred cells to suit how often you use it.

A wrist strap is fitted so you can keep the torch to hand while both palms are busy, or hang it up between tasks. The weather and shock resistant body means it holds up to being dropped or left in a toolbox, making it a sensible pick for the car, the workshop, or a kitchen drawer.
