Description

Charge two devices at once in your vehicle with this dual port car charger from Mercury. It combines one USB-A port and one USB-C port in a low profile housing that sits close to your socket, so it stays out of the way while you drive. Both PD (Power Delivery) and QC (Quick Charge) fast charging technologies are built in, giving you a rapid top-up when you need it. In testing, the charger reaches 0 to 50 per cent in around 30 minutes on a compatible device.

The USB-A output supports 5V 3A, 9V 3A, 12V 2.5A or 20V 1.5A, while the USB-C output adds a 15V 2A step for wider device support. Input runs at DC 12 to 24V 3.0A, which suits both car and van sockets (the cigarette lighter socket, as it is often called). The compact shape means it won't block a second socket or a nearby control if you have them close together.

This is a handy pick if you carry a phone and a tablet, or share the car with someone who uses a different cable standard. Keep it plugged in for everyday journeys, or pack it in the glovebox for trips where you know you'll need power on the move. As with any fast charger, the speed you get depends on the device and cable you connect.
