Description

The Mercury AUAF-5G is a compact aerial amplifier (aerial booster) with an integrated LTE filter, built to help you get a cleaner TV signal without the clutter of extra hardware. It boosts the signal coming from your aerial (antenna) while filtering out interference caused by nearby 4G and 5G mobile transmissions, which can otherwise cause channel loss or picture break-up. With a maximum gain of 20dB and a low noise figure of under 4dB, it gives your signal a lift while keeping unwanted noise to a minimum.

Powering the unit is straightforward. It runs on DC5V through the included 20.5cm USB lead, which plugs into one of the USB sockets on your TV. That means there's no need for a separate mains adapter or a free wall socket, so it tucks away neatly behind the set. An on/off switch lets you take control of when the amplifier is active, and a power LED shows you at a glance whether it's running.

The main unit measures just 24 x 34 x 56mm and weighs only 35g, so it sits happily among your existing cables without adding bulk. It covers a frequency range of 47 to 694MHz, keeping it within the band used by digital terrestrial TV while the LTE filter handles the 5G and 4G frequencies above it. If your signal has been affected by the switch-over to mobile 5G services, this is a simple, low-effort way to steady things up.
