Description

This Mercury extension lead lets you connect UK mains plug devices to a UPS or an IEC power rail. One end is fitted with a C14 (male) connector, while the other splits out into a 4 gang socket block, giving you four standard UK three-pin outlets to work with. The cable itself runs to 2m, which gives you room to position the socket block where you need it.

The lead is rated at 250Vac with a maximum current of 10A, and it uses 3 core 1.25mm² cable. It conforms to BS1363/A, so it works with the UK three-pin plugs (known as mains plugs here, or grounded plugs in some US terms) you already use. The C14 inlet on the source end matches the C13 outlets found on many UPS units and power distribution rails, making it a straightforward way to feed several devices from a single IEC point.

We've fitted flexible strain relief at the cable entry to help protect the wire from bending stress over time. The 4 gang block is wall mountable if you'd rather fix it in place, though the screws are not supplied. The finish is white, so it sits quietly against most walls and racks. It's a practical choice for server cabinets, AV setups and any spot where you're running UK plugs off IEC power.
