Description

This Mercury worklight brings together three lighting functions in one handheld unit. The main light uses a 3W COB LED that puts out 200 lumens for close work, while a 1W LED torch (flashlight) sits at the top for pointing into tight spots. At the back you'll find a triangular red LED that works as an emergency warning light, handy at the roadside or when you need to be seen.

We've built it to stay where you put it. The magnetic base clamps onto metal surfaces, and the rotating bracket lets you angle the beam to suit the job. There's also a swivel hook so you can hang it from a bonnet catch, shelf or ladder rung. The body is made from ABS with a painted rubber finish, and at 215x50x35mm it fits comfortably in one hand or a toolbox drawer.

A 1200mAh rechargeable battery is built in and tops up through the USB-C port. Because there's also a USB-A socket, the same unit doubles as a powerbank when you need to charge a phone or other small device on the go. The torch puts out 60 lumens, and the main light gives you 200 lumens for general tasks. It's a practical choice for the car boot, garage or workshop where one tool doing several jobs saves space and hassle.
