Description

The Mercury 2WDPv2 lets you speak with visitors before you open the door. It uses a simple 2-wire connection between the outdoor and indoor units, with high quality circuitry that gives clear, interference free two-way audio. The system also supports the release of an electronic lock, so you can let someone in without leaving the room. This makes it a practical choice for homes, small businesses, and anyone who is elderly or less mobile.

The outdoor unit is weatherproof to IP44 and comes with a backlit nameplate, so callers can find and use it in low light. A rain shade and wall mount brackets are supplied in the box, which keeps installation straightforward. The maximum transmission distance is 100m when using 2 x 1.0mm² cable, or up to 50m with 0.5mm² cable, so most domestic and light commercial runs are covered. The outdoor unit measures 215 x 105 x 65mm including the rain shade, while the indoor handset measures 208 x 65 x 60mm.

Indoors, the handset has an adjustable ring volume so you can set it to suit the room. The system is hardwired and runs from an AC 100-240V 50/60Hz supply, drawing under 3W on standby and under 7W in use. The outdoor unit works across a wide temperature range of -20°C to +50°C, with the indoor unit rated from -10°C to +50°C. The maximum transmission distance is 100m using 2 x 1.0mm² cable. With thinner 0.5mm² cable the range is up to 50m.

Can it release an electric lock?
