Description

The Mercury is a 2-pin 10A in-line connector housed in a heavy-duty orange rubber body, rated for 250V AC mains. The connector uses brass pin terminals and includes integral cord grips at both entry and exit points to prevent cable strain at the connection point.

Designed for outdoor power tool use, site lighting and temporary installations where weather resistance and visibility matter, the orange rubber housing remains flexible in cold conditions and resists impact damage from drops or knocks. The connector conforms to BS5733/A, the British standard for rubber cable couplers, and the 10A rating handles loads up to 2,300W on UK mains.

The cord grips secure cables from 5mm to 10mm outer diameter, clamping the cable sheath rather than relying on terminal screws alone to hold the weight of a trailing cable. The orange colour provides high visibility in low-light conditions and on construction sites, reducing the risk of the connector being stepped on or driven over when trailing across a floor or yard.
