Description

The Memory is a wall light built around a white opal glass dome sitting on a black metal arm and backplate. The dome measures 22cm diameter and forms a mushroom or umbrella profile, with the glass extending beyond the metal collar below it. A single E14 bulb inside the dome (sold separately, max 40W) casts light through the white opal glass, providing soft diffused illumination rather than a focused beam.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and staircases, the Memory works as ambient lighting where a gentle wash of light is needed without glare. The 24cm projection from the wall means it sits clear of picture frames and furniture placed against the wall, while the 24.4cm height keeps the fitting compact enough for use in corridors with standard 2.4m ceiling heights. The IP20 rating restricts it to dry indoor locations only.

The black metal frame is powder-coated steel, giving a low-sheen matt finish that pairs with contemporary, industrial and Scandi interiors. The white opal glass is a solid milk-white tone rather than clear or frosted, so the bulb itself is concealed when the light is switched on. The combination of black metal and white glass provides clean contrast without introducing additional colour. The Memory uses a single E14 small Edison screw bulb up to 40W, sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W LED bulb in warm white (2700K-3000K) for soft ambient lighting in hallways and bedrooms.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not water-resistant and must only be installed in dry indoor locations away from direct moisture or splashes.

How far does it project from the wall?

The total projection is 24cm from the wall to the outermost edge of the glass dome. The arm extends horizontally before the dome sits on top of it.

Is the glass replaceable if damaged?

The white opal glass dome is a separate component, but Maytoni does not sell replacement glass independently. Contact Niori directly if a replacement dome is needed.
