The Memory is a 42.5cm table lamp built around a white ceramic cylindrical base topped with a hemispherical opal glass shade, with a spherical opal glass element sitting between the base and shade. The lamp takes a single E14 bulb up to 40W (sold separately), and the opal glass diffuses light in all directions for ambient rather than task lighting.

Designed for bedside tables, side tables in living rooms, and desks where soft background light is needed, the Memory's 30cm diameter shade provides a wide throw of diffused light without creating harsh shadows or glare. The lamp sits on a weighted ceramic base that keeps it stable on narrow bedside surfaces, and the 42.5cm height positions the light source above typical mattress height when used next to a bed. The IP20 rating limits the lamp to dry indoor spaces only.

The hourglass-like silhouette comes from stacking a cylindrical base, a spherical mid-element, and a hemispherical shade in graduated sizes. What bulb does it take?

The Memory takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 4-6W and 2700K for bedside use.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen and the specific dimmer switch installed. LED bulbs rated as dimmable will work with most trailing-edge dimmers, but compatibility should be checked before purchase.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the lamp is suitable for dry indoor spaces only and must not be used in bathrooms or areas where it may be exposed to moisture.

How is the opal glass cleaned?

Wipe the opal glass shade gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth when the lamp is switched off and cool. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking or using household sprays.
