Description

The Memory is a 42.5cm table lamp built around a black ceramic cylindrical base supporting an opal white glass dome shade in a mushroom silhouette. The E14 bulb (sold separately) sits within the central glass sphere and casts light upward into the domed shade, which diffuses it back down and outward. The opal glass softens the light source and eliminates direct bulb glare.

Designed for bedside tables, console tables, and living room side surfaces, the Memory provides ambient accent lighting rather than directed task light. The 30cm dome diameter makes it substantial enough to anchor a side table or wide windowsill without dominating smaller surfaces. The black ceramic base gives the lamp a low centre of gravity and stable footing on fabric surfaces, timber and stone.

The black ceramic finish on the base is a high-gloss powder coat over metal and ceramic composite, giving a hard-wearing surface that resists everyday knocks and heat from the bulb. The opal glass is hand-blown and shows slight tonal variation between pieces. The E14 socket accepts candle-style bulbs up to 40W, allowing control over colour temperature and brightness depending on the chosen LED or halogen bulb.

Is the glass shade removable for bulb changes?

Yes. The opal glass dome lifts off the ceramic base to access the E14 socket for bulb replacement. Handle the glass carefully when removing and replacing.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the lamp is suitable for dry indoor spaces only and must not be used in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or outdoor locations.

How is the glass cleaned?

Wipe the opal glass with a dry microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or dust buildup, a slightly damp cloth is acceptable. Avoid household glass cleaners or abrasive materials that may scratch the surface.
