Description

The Meca is a 1600mm linear suspension light with an integrated 35W LED running the full length of a slimline 28mm diameter white tube. The LED delivers 3200 lumens at 3000K warm white through a continuous diffuser, producing a single unbroken line of light without visible hotspots or gaps. The fixture hangs on two adjustable suspension cables from a 600mm canopy plate, allowing drop heights between 60mm and 2060mm depending on ceiling height and application.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables, desks and reception counters, the Meca provides directed task lighting at a 36-degree beam angle while remaining visually minimal. The narrow profile and white finish allow the fixture to recede against white or pale ceilings, focusing attention on the light output rather than the fitting itself. At 1600mm length the bar comfortably covers a 1400-1600mm table or island without overhang, and the adjustable drop means it can be set 700-900mm above a worktop or 650-750mm above a dining surface.

The 35W power consumption equates to approximately 91 lumens per watt, making the fitting efficient for its output class. The non-dimmable driver keeps the design simple and the 3000K colour temperature provides warm white light that suits residential and hospitality interiors. What length table or island does it suit?

The 1600mm length works well over tables and islands between 1400mm and 1600mm long. For longer surfaces multiple Meca units can be installed end-to-end or side-by-side depending on the desired light distribution.

How is the drop height adjusted?

The fixture hangs on two suspension cables that can be shortened during installation. The maximum drop is 2060mm from ceiling to the base of the light bar, and the minimum is 60mm for flush-mounted applications. Most installations set the bar 650-900mm above the surface below.

Can it be installed on a sloped ceiling?

The two-cable suspension system allows minor slope adjustment by varying the cable lengths individually, but the fixture is designed primarily for flat ceilings. Steep slopes may cause the bar to hang at an angle unless additional mounting hardware is used.
