Description
The Maya is a 410mm-tall outdoor wall light built around a clear glass lantern suspended within an anthracite-finished metal frame, topped with a decorative scroll hook detail. The single E27 bulb fitting sits inside the glass enclosure, which measures 175mm wide by 170mm in projection from the wall. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water spray from any direction, making the Maya suitable for porches, driveways, terrace entrance walls and sheltered courtyard positions.
Designed for locations where both decorative and functional light are needed, the Maya pairs a traditional lantern silhouette with a contemporary anthracite finish that sits comfortably alongside modern render, traditional brick and painted timber door surrounds. The 410mm height gives the fitting sufficient visual presence to anchor porch columns, garage entrances and side-door positions without overwhelming smaller cottage-style doorways. The bulb is sold separately, allowing choice of LED filament styles, warm-white tone and wattage to suit the specific installation.
The anthracite finish is a near-black dark grey powder coat over the metal frame, giving corrosion resistance and a matte surface that minimises reflections under direct sunlight. The glass lantern is clear rather than frosted, so the bulb is visible when lit — pairing with an E27 LED filament bulb creates a vintage-lantern aesthetic, while a standard A60 frosted LED provides even diffused light. The mounting plate fixes to a standard outdoor back box and the wiring entry is at the rear of the frame behind the wall plate.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Maya takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with an E27 LED filament bulb in warm white (2700K) for a vintage lantern look, or a standard frosted LED for even diffused light. Maximum wattage depends on the bulb type chosen.
Is it suitable for exposed positions?
The IP54 rating protects against dust and water spray from any direction, making it suitable for covered porches, driveways under eaves, and sheltered terrace walls. For fully exposed coastal or very wet positions, an IP65-rated fitting would be more appropriate.
Can it be dimmed?
Dimming capability depends on the bulb chosen. Pair the Maya with a dimmable E27 LED bulb and a compatible wall dimmer to achieve dimming. Non-dimmable bulbs will not dim regardless of the switch used.
How is it mounted?
The Maya mounts to a standard outdoor back box fixed to the wall. The wiring entry is at the rear of the mounting plate behind the frame. The 1.4kg weight is suitable for brick, block, render and timber substrates with appropriate fixings.
