Description
The Matrix rug is a modern geometric design in our Multi colourway, built from a grid of squares filled with half circles and quarter circles that meet and turn across the whole surface. The palette pairs cream, grey and blue with blush pink, mustard and a soft olive green, and several of the curves are picked out in fine stripes that add texture to the flat blocks of colour. It is machine made from polypropylene with a smooth pile, and fine grooves outline each shape so the pattern reads crisply from across the room. The look sits comfortably between modern and mid-century, with its bold shapes and warm, muted tones.
This is a living room rug first and foremost. The 80 by 150cm size suits a spot in front of a chair or a fireside, while the 120 by 170cm rug fits in front of a sofa or between a pair of armchairs. For a larger room, the 160 by 230cm and 200 by 290cm sizes sit under a sofa and coffee table together, framing a seating area on wooden floors or carpet alike. Choose the size that leaves a border of floor around it for the neatest look.
The pile is stain resistant, which settles one of the main worries about a pale rug in a busy living room: everyday spills from cups of tea or family life are less of a concern. The smooth pile feels even underfoot. Before you order, measure your seating area and pick the size that fits it best.
