Our Matrix rug is a modern geometric design in grey and black, lifted with panels of cream. Its design is a grid of squares, each holding a quarter circle or half circle, so the curves meet and turn across the rug. Shades of grey from pale to charcoal sit beside cream and blocks of solid black, and several of the curves are filled with fine pinstripes for texture. A groove traces the edge of each shape, so the pattern reads in gentle relief. It is machine made from polypropylene, with a smooth, even pile.

This is a rug for the living room, where its palette sits easily alongside both warm and cool colour schemes. It comes in 80 by 150cm, 120 by 170cm and 160 by 220cm. The smallest size suits the space beside an armchair or in front of a fireplace, the 120 by 170cm sits neatly in front of a sofa, and the 160 by 220cm is large enough to anchor a seating area, with the front legs of the sofa and chairs resting on it.
