Our Matrix rug is a modern geometric design in grey and black, built from interlocking blocks and bars laid across the whole surface like a patchwork of rectangles. Charcoal, mid grey and pale silver sit beside deep black and soft cream, so the design reads as calm and graphic. Each block is edged with a fine groove that sets it apart from its neighbour, giving the pattern a sculpted, layered look. It is machine made in polypropylene with a smooth pile that feels even underfoot.

We think it belongs in the living room, where its neutral palette sits easily with wooden floors and grey or black furniture.
