Description
The Masthead is a 610mm-wide 2 light wall light built around a central heritage brass sphere with two horizontal arms extending outward, each capped with a black ribbed end cap. Clear glass cylinder shades enclose each E27 bulb fitting, with brass framework holding the glass in position. The heritage brass finish has a warm, aged tone that sits between polished brass and antique brass.
Designed for bathrooms, the Masthead carries an IP44 rating that protects against water splashes, making it suitable for installation above mirrors, alongside vanities, or on walls adjacent to baths and showers. The 610mm width suits larger bathroom mirrors and double-basin vanities, while the 128mm projection provides clearance over mirror edges. The horizontal configuration spreads light evenly across a mirror surface when mounted centrally above it, and the clear glass allows the bulb's light output to reach the task area without heavy diffusion.
The metal frame combines heritage brass tubing with black powder-coated end caps, creating visual weight at the outer edges of the fitting. Each glass cylinder is approximately 100mm in diameter and secured by brass collars at both ends, with the black ribbed cap acting as the outer termination point. The combination of brass, black metal and clear glass gives the fitting a maritime character without leaning heavily into traditional nautical styling. The 2 x 40W maximum wattage accommodates standard E27 LED bulbs between 4-8W for bathroom task lighting.

Frequently Asked
What does IP44 mean for bathroom installation?
IP44 protects against water splashes from any direction, making the Masthead safe for installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3 (adjacent to baths/showers, not directly inside the shower enclosure). It can be mounted above mirrors, alongside vanities, or on walls near baths.
What bulbs does it take?
The Masthead takes two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most bathroom installations use warm-white LED bulbs between 4-8W and 2700K-3000K for task lighting around mirrors.
What width mirror does it suit?
The 610mm width works well centred above mirrors between 600-1200mm wide. For double-basin vanities the fitting is typically mounted between the two mirrors or centred above a single wide mirror spanning both basins.
How is the glass cleaned?
The clear glass cylinders can be wiped with standard glass cleaner or a damp microfibre cloth. The brass frame can be wiped with a soft dry cloth to remove bathroom moisture and prevent tarnishing over time.
