Description

The Marveta is a 414mm-tall table lamp built around a rounded shade carved from a single block of natural Spanish alabaster, sat on a brushed brass cylindrical stem and a circular brushed brass base. A short brass collar caps the top of the alabaster, mirroring the stem below. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately), housed inside the stone so that the alabaster itself acts as the diffuser.

At 280mm in diameter the Marveta suits sideboards, console tables, hallway tables and bedside tables where a compact, sculptural light source is wanted alongside or instead of a taller lamp. The 414mm height keeps the lamp below typical eye level when seated, so the alabaster glow reads as ambient rather than direct. The brass base provides a stable, weighted foot on hard surfaces and runners.

Each alabaster shade shows different mineral veining and tonal variation depending on the section of stone it was cut from, with denser areas reading as warmer cream and thinner areas glowing more brightly when the bulb is on.
