Description

The Marvello is a 620mm table lamp built around a cylindrical white marble base with subtle grey veining, a tapered brushed brass stem, and a 360mm grey drum shade. A brass ring caps the marble where stone meets metal, and the stem flares from a narrow neck into a wider conical foot that sits on the marble cylinder. A single E27 lamp socket is concealed at the top of the stem inside the shade.

Sized as a small to medium table lamp, the Marvello suits sideboards, console tables, bedside tables and living-room side tables where a 620mm tall lamp reads as proportional next to a sofa or bed. The 360mm drum shade casts wide ambient light downward and outward through the linen-look grey PVC, making it useful as background lighting in a lounge or as soft bedside reading light when paired with a higher-output E27 LED.

The white marble base is cut as a solid round column, so each piece shows different grey veining and tonal variation depending on the section of stone it was cut from. The brushed brass stem has a sculpted profile that catches highlights along its tapered length and contrasts with the flat geometry of the marble cylinder and drum shade. The overall combination of natural stone, warm metal and cool grey textile pairs comfortably with contemporary, transitional and Scandi-leaning interiors.

What bulb does the Marvello take?

The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K works well for ambient living-room and bedside use; a higher-output bulb up to the E27 fitting's rated maximum can be fitted if more reading light is needed.

Does the marble vary between lamps?

Yes. The base is cut from natural white marble, so the grey veining, intensity and pattern differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect, and means each Marvello base looks slightly different.

What size table does it suit?

At 620mm tall with a 360mm shade, the Marvello suits sideboards, consoles and side tables roughly 700-1100mm wide. On a standard 600mm-deep bedside table it sits comfortably without overhanging, leaving room for books and a glass of water.

How is the marble cleaned?

Wipe the marble base with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners that can etch or stain marble.
