Description
The Marmo is a 161.5cm floor lamp built around a slender brass stem that rises from a circular base and branches to hold three oval alabaster shades at staggered heights. Each shade is cut from natural stone with visible veining and translucency variation, and the lamp takes two G9 bulbs (sold separately) positioned behind two of the three shades to light the stone from within.
Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and reading corners with floor-to-ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Marmo provides ambient rather than task lighting. The brass frame has a warm brushed finish rather than high-polish, which softens reflections under daylight. The 23cm circular base gives stability on bare floors and rugs without needing additional weighting, and the inline foot switch on the cable allows the lamp to be turned on and off without reaching for a wall switch.
The three alabaster shades are arranged at different vertical positions along the brass stem, creating visual rhythm when viewed from the side. Each shade measures approximately 90mm wide and 180mm tall in an elongated oval form, and the natural alabaster material means no two shades show identical veining or colour tone. The brass loops holding each shade are welded to the central stem rather than clip-mounted, giving the lamp a fixed sculptural form rather than an adjustable task light.
The Marmo is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only and accepts G9 bulbs up to 40W each. Most users pair this with G9 LED capsules between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K to reduce heat output and extend bulb life while maintaining warm white light through the alabaster.

Frequently Asked
How many bulbs does it take and are they included?
The Marmo takes two G9 bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Two of the three alabaster shades contain bulb holders, while the third shade is decorative only.
Does the alabaster vary between lamps?
Yes. Each alabaster shade is cut from natural stone, so veining patterns, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual pieces. This is a characteristic of the natural material rather than a manufacturing inconsistency.
Can the lamp be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means the Marmo is suitable for dry indoor areas only and should not be used in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any space where moisture or water spray is present.
Is the lamp height adjustable?
No. The brass frame is a fixed welded structure with the alabaster shades positioned at set heights along the central stem. The lamp cannot be adjusted or reconfigured once assembled.
