Description

The Marisa is a 3-light crystal pendant with a lantern-inspired frame built from curved antique brass ribs, interwoven with amber-toned crystal leaves. The frame forms a bulbous silhouette approximately 360mm in diameter, tapering to a pointed brass finial at the base and a ribbed canopy at the top. Three E14 bulbs sit inside the frame (sold separately), their light refracting through the cognac-coloured crystal pieces that line the interior between the brass ribs.

Designed for entrance halls, stairwells and dining rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Marisa provides decorative ambient light through the combination of open metalwork and refractive crystal. The adjustable drop runs from 840mm minimum to 2300mm maximum, allowing the pendant to be set at different heights depending on ceiling clearance and the desired visual proportion. The suspension chain alternates oval and flat waved links, continuing the handcrafted aesthetic of the frame.

The antique brass finish carries a warm, aged patina that pairs with traditional and transitional interiors, particularly those featuring warm wood tones, deep reds, or earth-toned palettes. The cognac crystal leaves introduce amber light scatter when the bulbs are lit, softening the output and adding tonal warmth to the space. At 3kg, the pendant requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or suitable anchor point. The frame's open construction means dust settles on both the brass ribs and the crystal surfaces, so periodic cleaning maintains clarity.

What bulbs does it take?

The Marisa takes three E14 small Edison screw bulbs, each up to 40W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs at 4-6W and 2700K to complement the antique brass and cognac crystal tones.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if fitted with dimmable E14 bulbs. The pendant itself has no built-in dimming electronics, so dimmer compatibility depends on the specific bulbs and dimmer switch combination you choose.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop of 840mm works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, allowing approximately 1.75m clearance beneath the pendant. For higher ceilings, the drop extends to 2300mm maximum by adjusting the chain length during installation.

How is the crystal cleaned?

The cognac crystal leaves can be wiped with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid household glass cleaners on the antique brass frame as they may strip the aged patina finish.
