Description

The Marette is a single-light wall sconce from Kichler with a twisted polished chrome arm supporting a satin-etched opal glass shade. The fitting includes one 3W G9 LED bulb at 3000K, providing warm white light diffused through the opal glass. The chrome arm twists through approximately 180 degrees from the rectangular wall plate to the shade mounting, creating a sculptural profile when viewed from the side.

Designed for bathroom vanity lighting and hallway wall lighting, the Marette carries an IP44 rating making it suitable for zones 2 and 3 in bathrooms where splashing water is present but direct spray is not. The 143mm projection from the wall positions the light source forward enough to reduce shadowing on mirror tasks, while the 413mm height suits positioning either side of a mirror or in a vertical run of two or three fittings. The polished chrome finish reflects adjacent light sources and pairs with chrome taps, towel rails and mirror frames.

The opal glass shade is a rounded rectangular form with softened corners, measuring approximately 127mm at its widest point. The satin-etched treatment on the inside surface of the glass scatters the LED point source, preventing glare when the fitting is mounted at head height in a narrow hallway or on either side of a bathroom mirror. The polished chrome finish is a bright, reflective surface rather than brushed or satin, so it shows fingerprints and water marks in high-use areas and benefits from occasional wiping with a soft dry cloth.

Is the Marette suitable for bathroom use?

Yes. The IP44 rating makes it suitable for zones 2 and 3 in bathrooms, where splashing water is present but direct spray jets are not aimed at the fitting. It is commonly used for vanity lighting either side of a mirror.

Is the bulb replaceable?

Yes. The fitting takes a standard G9 LED bulb up to 3W. The supplied bulb is a 3W 3000K LED, but it can be replaced with any G9 bulb within the wattage limit if a different colour temperature or brightness is needed.

Can the Marette be installed in a vertical run of two or three fittings?

Yes. The 413mm height and narrow profile suit vertical spacing at 500-600mm centres. Multiple Marette fittings are commonly installed in pairs flanking a bathroom mirror or in a vertical run of three in taller hallway spaces.

The included G9 LED is 3000K, which is a warm white tone similar to halogen bulbs. This colour temperature suits bathrooms and hallways where a warmer, more inviting light is preferred over cooler daylight tones.
