Maremagnum 4 Light Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - Antique Brass

The Maremagnum is a 530mm semi-flush ceiling light built around four curved antique brass arms that loop outward from a central stem in an asymmetric spiral. Four clear glass globes sit at intervals along the arms, each housing a G9 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately). The antique brass finish shows a warm patina tone partway between polished brass and aged bronze.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 2.8m, the Maremagnum sits 260mm below the ceiling rose when fitted. This semi-flush mounting gives the sculptural presence of a pendant without the drop clearance requirement. The looping arms extend beyond the 530mm nominal diameter at their widest point, so the fitting needs approximately 600mm of clear space to avoid clipping furniture or walls when installed centrally.

Each glass globe is hand-blown with a thick textured surface that catches light internally and diffuses it outward, creating soft shadows on the ceiling and surrounding walls rather than harsh downward spots. The combination of warm antique brass and clear glass works in both warm-neutral interiors (creams, beiges, warm greys) and cooler contemporary schemes where the brass acts as an accent against whites and pale greys. The asymmetric arm arrangement means the light looks different from different angles in the room.

The fitting weighs 3.1kg when fully assembled, requiring a ceiling rose capable of supporting at least 5kg installed weight. All four G9 sockets accept dimmable G9 LED capsules if paired with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer on the lighting circuit. The looping arms are fixed in position during manufacture and cannot be adjusted on site.

The Maremagnum takes four G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with 3-5W G9 LED capsules in 2700K-3000K warm white. Total output depends on the bulbs chosen.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

The fitting projects 260mm below the ceiling when installed, making it suitable for standard ceiling heights of 2.4m and above. Below 2.4m the arms may feel visually dominant in smaller rooms.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, if dimmable G9 bulbs are fitted and the lighting circuit has a compatible trailing-edge dimmer switch. The fitting itself is passive — dimming capability comes from the bulb and dimmer combination.

What ceiling fixing is required?

The 3.1kg installed weight requires a ceiling rose rated for at least 5kg. The fitting connects to standard UK mains wiring via a rose and terminal block, and includes a circular backplate that conceals the ceiling rose once installed.
