The Mannera-L is a slender LED floor lamp in black, standing 140cm tall on a round disc base 20cm across, with a domed head and a diameter of 16cm. Its body is aluminium and steel, and the integrated LED gives 440 lumens from just 4.3W, so there is no separate bulb to buy or change. Power comes from four Li-ion batteries rated at 2200mAh, with a run time of 47 hours, which lets the lamp stand well away from a wall socket. With an IP54 rating it is protected from splashing water, so it is as much at home on a terrace or in a garden as it is in a living room.

Indoors it makes a reading light beside an armchair or a bookcase, and the narrow stem sits neatly in a corner where a bulkier lamp would crowd the room. On a summer evening you can move it out to the patio or into a conservatory and set it beside a chair, and splashing water will not trouble it. Because it is dimmable and you choose the colour of the light at the lamp, the same floor lamp gives a very warm 2400K for unwinding, a warm 3000K for everyday living and a cool 4000K when you want to read or work. The stem and base are aluminium and steel in black, and the domed head is black with a thin white rim at its lower edge, where the plastic shade lets the light spill softly.
