Description

The Manhattan is a swing arm wall light with a polished chrome frame and a black fabric drum shade decorated with an abstract white pattern. The arm extends 440mm from the wall and pivots on a chrome backplate, allowing the light to be positioned over a reading chair, directed towards a bedside table, or angled to wash light up a wall. The E14 bulb fitting sits inside the drum shade behind a frosted white diffuser.

Designed for bedrooms, reading nooks and living room accent positions, the swing arm allows the light to be moved without rewiring. The 485mm arm length gives enough reach to position the light over a pillow for reading in bed or over the arm of a chair without the backplate needing to be centred directly behind the seating position. The chrome finish reflects ambient light during the day, while the black and white pattern on the shade adds graphic contrast against plain walls.

The drum shade measures 170mm high and approximately 350mm diameter, large enough to direct useful task light without overwhelming a bedside or side-table position. The polished chrome arm, joints and backplate are metal throughout, giving the fitting a 0.85kg weight that requires secure fixing into a solid wall or stud. The swing mechanism uses a friction joint that holds the arm in position once adjusted rather than springing back to neutral.
